The Minx team have have been keeping a close eye on London Fashion Week to inspire our future collections. Below are some of our favourites off the catwalk.

Twilight star Kristen Stewart, has been named Woman of the Year at the Elle Style Awards – and Minx just loves her short, funky outfit. Dannii Minogue and Kylie Minogue were the top dresses celebs though – and really stole the show with their superb dresses.

Well, the Minx team was keeping a close eye on the Brit awards last night. Noticing all the dresses worn by the celebs and loving some and then really not sure about others………..and , of course, the very individual styling of Lady Ga Ga. Not sure if we will see a version of that coming to Minx for prom 2011 but we love the head dress!

Last Friday Minx teamed up with our local high school, Bedale High School, to put on a dazzling fashion show for the community.
With their hair done by the professionals at Ego, Scruples and Headquarters, the Year 11 Bedale Girls stepped onto the catwalk in style to show off the fabulous range of prom dresses and eveningwear available from Minx.

Along with the girls on the catwalk was professional model, Serena Moxon, who offered the girls top tips and advice on how to get the perfect pose and beating the nerves.
Behind the scenes the team worked hard to get everybody out onto the catwalk on time. Of course the night didn’t go without a few hiccups backstage – but thanks to the quick thinking and initiative of the team backstage all were quickly resolved and the girls went out looking fantastic.

During the interval the prom girls flooded to the “Meet The Designer” stand for a chance to talk to Liz, our very own in-house designer , who is responsible for nearly all of the fabulous dresses that went down the catwalk. Liz took the opportunity to speak to the girls and find out exactly what they are looking for in next seasons prom collection. This is being designed as we speak!
All in all, the show was spectacular and a great time was had by everybody involved. Minx would like to say a big thank you to Bedale High School, all the models, Scruples, Ego and Headquarters for the hair design, all of the backstage helpers and the audience for being such a fabulous one.

With busy patents, commitments and part time jobs, it can be difficult to find time to get out looking for your prom dress.

Opinions are always important when trying on prom dresses. sure, Mum, Dad, Grandma and even the Minx Girls will give you lots of useful adivice and thoughts. but let’s face it, you also want to know what your friends think.
The amount of styles and of course everyones opinions can sometimes be a little overwhelming, particularly if you’re down to 2 or 3 styles and just can’t decide. It always helps to find out what your friend thinks, so why not brin her along too.

Oh dear, what has happened to Kirsten Dunst. She has such a fabulous figure which is completely lost in this dress.

We love the fitted bodice in Geena Davis's dress but the skirt is a big no-no unless you are a Can Can dancer.

Dare to be different like Kate Hudson who looks fabulous on the Golden Globes red carpet in this directional white Marchesa gown and perfectly accessorised with diamond tassel earrings .
The fashionistas of Hollywood were dressed to the nines at the recent Golden Globe Awards. Red carpet fashion was on dazzling display from all the A-lister beauties and as you probably all know we are rather keen on a spot of glamour at Minx. So now to our favourite looks of the night…
